ИНТЕРВЬЮ С АМЕРИКАНСКОЙ ХРИСИТАНСКОЙ BRUTAL DEATH METAL-DEATHCORE-ГРУППОЙ ABATED MASS OF FLESH (2016)
Hi! My name is Artem! It is nice to meet you, and I am really glad you agreed for the interview. Why did you decide to play such a brutal type of death metal? Do you think it is appropriate to claim it is christian?
No problem, anytime! We love brutal music, it's also a type of genre we really enjoy playing. Absolutely, it's not easy to access Christian brutal death metal these days. Its very obscure which is one reason why we play it, another reason is we love Jesus and love praising Him through brutal noise.
How would you describe your music – brutal death metal or deathcore?
It's a mixture of both, we like to reach out to different crowds.
Were you studying music academically? Or you learnt it yourself?
We are all self taught, of course getting tips and learning more along the way has helped.
Are lyrics important for you? Or you try to focus on music in your songs?
Absolutely, we really focus on our lyrics as well as the music itself.
What do you think about satanic metal and satanic metal bands?
I really don't have much to say but I personally don't listen to straight satanic metal. If a band's lyrics are about satan on a few songs it doesn't bother me but I won't purchase a full on satanic album.
You have 3 logos, which is the main one?
The one that is on our album “Deathcrusher" and the one that will be on our next album cover. We like to use the more unreadable logo on our more straight brutal death metal albums.
What do you think about black metal?
We all love it haha.
There are many bands writing lyrics on paganism and everything? What do you think about it? Any thoughts on paganism? For example, even though I am a Christian, I am quite interested in it.
I don't have any problems with it, I will listen to it just not straight satanic albums. I agree its very interesting.
When will you show us your new release?
No set date but very soon.
I am a huge fan of fast music, and of fats metal particularly. Your music is really good, but are you going to make any changes in it, like its speed and stuff?
Thanks! We try to make every album somewhat different, wether it be the production or speeds.
How often are you on tours?
Usaully a week a year because of our jobs. We will do some weekend shows out of state if we can.
By the way, I am from Israel, any plans to come here? Here are a lot of metal fans. You are welcome to come!
Thank you! Wherever God takes us, I know it would cost quite a bit of money to fly there and back but we'll see what happens.
And my last question to you is about anarchy.. What do you think about it? What is the best of the political system, in your opinion? That’s me. Thanks a lot for the interview. I wish you all the best with your music and your career! Keep it up!

Me personally I don't get into politics and anarchy. Nothing against anyone who does. The world is a messed up place but I keep my head up and move forward. I'm just focusing on my family, friends and my future. Thanks Artem, God bless! |
