The band was born in 1998 in Medellнn/Colombia. Under the name of Asgard.
Was formed by 'yomar sanches' (drums) and 'ivancient' (guitars-vocals) we composed some stuff .. In 2000 year, enter to the band the bass player 'mauricio' and a second guitar 'fredy arias'; with this formation we made few underground shows in medellin colombia, and reciving support from the death metal escene in this city (medellin).... But finnishing the 2000 year.. The band begun to reduce... Some members for musical diferences.... - the bass player leave the city.. The second guitar leave the band, for university study... And the drummer leaves the band for other compromises...... The unique member that continues, was me... Ivan jaramillo..... And how the 99 % from the compositions were to my propierity... And i decided to continues with the band alone......
* CHANGE THE NAME: ASGARD FOR ANCIENT NECROPSY *
In begining of 2001 i was watching metal zines, and I saw that the escene counted with a famous band that haves the name of 'ASGARD' ... So, to start of this time, i decided to search other apropiate name for the band.......
At january of 2001 I decided to call it... 'ANCIENT NECROPSY'
I begun to compose more songs and arrange it.. The band stayed so, underground.... I made the demo promo (demonstration of madness and hate).. Alone... I recordered all the instruments in this record... But the bass drumms was remplaced for bas drums programming.. But the rest of percusion like snare, and cymbals were recordered normally.....
This demo was spread in colombia to few label records... Mutilated records was so interested... And we decided to work in the album debut.... But i said, to mutilated, if let to me to make a new recorder.. Because a had news ideas, and new songs.... So to finnish to 2002 i begin to work in the studio, beggining to record the drums... When i finished to recorecrd the drums i wanted to have a constant and rect quality of sound in the drums.. And i dedicated various months in to adquire this quality sound.... In march i finished all the record of the album debut.. With some songs of demo but rebrutalized versions...
The cd was spread around of the world.. Thanks to mutilated records was united with the cz republic label 'nice to eat you records'... For to make this album..
This album has been accepted with goods comments of various underground labels, distros, zines, web zines and killer fans around of world.. And i am so grateful for that with all the people that has supported to from the beggining until today........

В любом случае музыка группы будет похожа на музыку своих более именитых земляков - Internal Suffering, Goretrade, Carnal и кучи подобных. 
Слушал все альбомы. Второй "Deformed King's Mimmification" (2004) больше всех вставил. Отличный колумб-брутал нарезает! Эх если б ещё живой ударник был вместо программинга... цены бы небыло!
