Blood Circus Информация о группе One day T-Man went to Doug and said I want to rock- hard! Cool, said Doug. I know a guy named Michael, said T-Man. Cool again. We jammed, Michael stood on the neck of his guitar and 6 Foot Under was born. I know a guy named Geoff said Doug. OK. Blood Circus was born. Many weeks and tons of beer later we played our first Seattle show at the Vogue. We opened for The Obituaries. Johnathan Poneman put his hand over his mouth and said, Subpop wants you. Sure we said. At our second show JP said No, really! More shows, Mudhoney forms, Tad forms, Nirvana opens for us, etc. We released a single (SP 13- combed from our own gig getting demo tape). We tour. We get good reviews and are hailed as gods for a new age of rock (sorry, that was Mudhoney). We play with every band in Seattle, plus The Flaming Lips, Butthole Surfers, White Zombie, SNFU and a bunch we were too fucked up to remember. Primal Rock Therapy (the EP) is released. We do a US tour with the French band Les Thugs (awesome). Bruce Pavitt (Subpop honcho) says if you survive this tour we'll send you to Europe. We don't survive. Geoff throws all our gear (well, not our musical gear, but our suitcases) out the back of our station wagon. Tad goes to Europe instead and plays a show in Berlin on the night they tear the wall down. Everyone else gets famous. We slowly grow old and, eventually we all die. источник: myspace Blood Circus was an early, short-lived grunge band from Seattle, Washington. After a fairly successful single released in 1988, American record label Sub Pop released their first and only album, a 5-track EP called Primal Rock Therapy which, despite being now recognised as a milestone record of that time and place, was at the time panned by the critics and ignored by the public. This lead to the split of the band in 1990 after a US tour with the French band Les Thugs. They briefly reformed in 1992, when Sub Pop re-released "Primal Rock Therapy" on CD with almost all their recorded output. (Minus "The Outback" which can be found on the Sub Pop 200 compilation). (To be complete, the band can be seen performing a short fragment of an unreleased track titled "Calling for Lisa" in the Hype movie.) источник: Wikipedia Участники Michael Anderson - Singer-Guitarist Geoff Robinson - Guitarist T-Man - Bassist Doug Day - Drummer Дискография 1988 Primal Rock Therapy (Sub pop) (reissued in 1992) Страна USA (Seattle) Стиль Grunge/Punk Сэмплы http://www.myspace.com/bloodcircus1 |
