A New York Sludge-Doom outfit borne out of Hardcore roots in 1990. The band debuted commercially with the track 'Poisoned Friendship' shared with WHATSOEVER on a split 7" single through the band's custom imprint Rot n' Roll Records. Further split singles ensued allied with SOUNDBITE HOUSE and Punk act VIOLENT SOCIETY. NEGATIVE REACTION also included two rare tracks, 'Deathbed' and 'NFG' on the compilation album 'More Lies from the Underground’. The debut 1996 album,'Endofyourerror' crediting a rhythm section of Mark Skunk on bass and drummer Brian Alien, arrived in 1996. This record, although still carrying trademark Hardcore elements, witnessed the band's uncompromising plunge into Doom.

NEGATIVE REACTION's 2001 'The Orion Chronicles' album, released by the Colorado Game Two concern, featured the jaw dropping 38 minute 'The Moon Song'. The record, comprised of just three tracks, closes with an unaccredited take on HAWKWIND's 'Lords Of Light'. Following recording Damon Limpy took over the bass role. In 2002 the group switched labels to Austrian Doom specialists PsycheDOOMelic Records for the album 'Everything You Need For Galactic Battle Adventures'.

A split 7" single shared with English Doomsters RAMESSES arrived in 2003 through PsycheDOOMelic. Devil Doll Records released 'Under The Ancient Penalty' on June 6th 2006.
