Steklovata (Russian: Стекловата - glass wool) is a Estonian boy band consisting of leading vocalists Denis Belikin (Денис Беликин) and Artur Yeremeyev (Артур Еремеев). The band's producer is Sergei Kuznechov (Сергей Кузнецов), who in 1999 recruted the 13 year old Denis Belikin to his new project. Shortly thereafter Yeremeyev was added to the band. Steklovata released two albums and participated in music festivals in Russia, without achieving great success, partly because of lack of sponsors. In 2002, the band reached the top of the charts of Russian radio in Estonia. More...

Steklovata is part of the "Ласковый Май" ("Gentle May"), a trend that exploded at the down of the USSR era. It was a commercial initiative in which a producer created a band with pre-pubescent boys, often orphans.
